Divali is a festival of lights that celebrates the hindu new year. Divali is a holiday in october. Holi is also a hindu holiday. Hindu people celebrate Raksha Bandhan for importance of brothers and sisters.

Hindus believe in reincarnation. reincarnation is when you are reborn as a different person or animal. Karma is the cycle and it determines what you will be in your next life. Hindus believe that you can reach moksha which is a state of rest and you no longer need to be reborn.

Hunduism - Background / History

Hinduism is the oldest major religion in the world that is still practiced.
Hindus are eighty percent of India's population. Major Hindu countries are Shrilanka, India, Bangladesh and Nepal. Hindu leader Mohanda Gandi is a very famous who fought for India's independence in the 20Th century against the British. India became an independent country in 1947.
